3 simple ways to encourage local businesses

The current situation is hurting many local merchants, entrepreneurs and businesses. Therefore, it is important that we, as a community, pull together to emerge from this pandemic even stronger. From buying a coffee at the local store to choosing a locally sourced Christmas gift or ordering from a local restaurant, every gesture counts. Here are 3 simple ways to encourage local businesses:
1. Shop at small businesses near you. When you’re out and about in the city, why not visit a small business and buy a small souvenir, a unique gift for a loved one, or just to treat yourself? Choose local businesses in order to improve the local economy as buying here shows that you care about your community.
2. Order from a local restaurant. Most restaurants have now adapted and are offering a delivery service. Why not order a good meal from your favourite restaurateur or try something new while you’re at it? It couldn’t be simpler; just sit back in the comfort of your own home and wait for your delicious meal order.
Our JARO restaurants also offer delicious take-out meals. Check them out:

3. Purchase gift cards. With the holiday season fast approaching, it’s time to think about spoiling your loved ones. To do so, why not purchase a gift card from a business or company that you love? Besides providing immediate income to merchants in this period of crisis, buying a gift card is simple and effective.
JARO Hotels offer gift cards so that you can experience the comfort of our 7 hotels or discover one of our 4 restaurants.
*Did you know that JARO Hotels is a 100% Québécois and family-owned company? Mr. Robitaille acquired his first hotel (which has since become the Québec Inn) in 1976. Today, Mr. Robitaille, his wife and children still work there.
This year, help us make a difference!
