A Beach in the City
Do you know Baie de Beauport? There really is a beach close to downtown Quebec and it is only a five minutes (4.2 km) car ride away from the Hotel Palace Royal. What is best to enjoy the warm summer sun than to spend a day relaxing in a hammock or with your feet in the sand? Baie de Beauport is a place to move and enjoy the great Saint-Laurent River that surrounds it. There are activities for all tastes.
Nautical sports lovers can venture on the river in many ways: on site, it is possible to rent paddle boards, catamarans, dinghies, kayaks, both simple and double, and you can even try kitesurfing! Beauport Bay is also the right place to try and enjoy the pump track with your bike. You can also play friendly games of beach volleyball with your friends or family on one of the available courts. You don’t even have to plan a meal, there are summer cocktails, food trucks with healthy options and fresh food at hand. And let’s not forget the famous beach concerts.
