

JUNE’S OUTDOOR EVENTS: HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT
The arrival of June marks the beginning of summer holidays, of long hot evenings, of festivals, and of outdoor activities. We see the return of bikes, dairy bars, and BBQ with friends. In brief, there is a lot to keep us occupied! One thing's sure is that in June we move because sports events follow one another. But that’s not all!

During this period, Quebec is also the destination to choose for many special events. So with or whiteout your running shoes, for you to stay on the lookout of when you need to come to Quebec, here is a list of the important dates:
MAI 24 TO JUNE 4
Let’s start the month on a cultural note! Presented by Quebec City, où tu vas quand tu dors en marchant… is an original creation by Carrefour international de théâtre that is worth the detour. It is simply a unique experience! It is a walk-through experience of five unique and extraordinary worlds. It is a free event that will make you discover Parliament Hill in a completely different way. For more information, do not hesitate to visit the Carrefour international de théâtre.
JUNE 9
At only 20 minutes from Old Quebec, will be on June 9 La Clinique Du Coureur à Lac-Beauport. It is the perfect moment to start trail running or to mark the beginning of your trail season because the event offers accessible distances for everyone. It’s also an opportunity to move with your family, so bring your kids, because there will be courses just for them, and during your race no worries because an animation service is offered.
JUNE 10
Sentiers du Moulin organized a day to highlight the beginning of mountain bike season. During the day, many bike companies will be there to give advice and to make you try their new model of bikes. It is an excellent way to meet and exchange with people passionate by mountain bike.
JUNE 17
Do you want to take on a challenge? Here is one for you: the Défi Escaliers Québec. Taking place June 17, 2018, this event allows participants to run or walk through around about thirty of the most beautiful staircases that connect Quebec City’s upper and lower towns. Courses of 19, 13 and 8 km are offered and a novelty is the addition of a course of 2 km for the kids so they can also move and surpass themselves.
JUNE 23 AND JUNE 24
Talking about a well-rounded party is talking about the Gala des Belle Autos d’hier 2018. The 22nd edition of this event will last two days and include more than 1600 old cars to discover, a flea market, a drop and play, animations, some draws, and moreover. Also, being situated on the wonderful site of Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, activities such as the zip line will be available to you.
JUNE 29 TO JULY 1ST
Le Pow-Wow de Wendake is a vivid and unique experience. It is high in colors with an opening parade and high-level dancing contests. For the ones who don’t know what is a Pow-Wow: It’s festive manifestations and a way for First Nations to make experiment their cultural heritage with their traditional dances and songs. It is also an occasion to participate in craft making workshops, to taste authentic dishes, and to see different demonstrations of traditional expertise.
JUNE 29 TO JULY 1ST
To conclude in strength the month of June and start the one of July, participate at Le Québec Méga Trail (QMT). It is an excellent way to discover beautiful landscapes as the trails go through Mont-Sainte-Anne, Côte-de-Beaupré, and Charlevoix. This event also accommodates every level of expertise by having courses from 1 to 100 km!
