Meet the Ginger team: Stéphanie Bonavent
Hard-working and ever ready to help others, Stéphanie is responsible for morning service at Ginger. We are very proud to introduce you to this much appreciated employee of Hotel Plaza Quebec's restaurant.
Stéphanie Bonavent, morning service manager
Stéphanie has been part of the Ginger team for a few years now. Born in France, she fell in love with Quebec nearly 25 years ago and settled here. Starting out in the restaurant business as a student, Stéphanie went on to work in a law firm. However, her first love for the restaurant business eventually led her back to the field. She started out as a waitress and later became a maitre d’ and then a waitress manager. Stephanie not only enjoys the fast-paced atmosphere of the Ginger, but also working with and serving customers.
Her role and tasks
Today, she is responsible for the morning service. A hard worker who often works long shifts, Stephanie is a real asset to the Ginger team. Having to arrive early and fill in for any absences, her job also involves managing the work crew, brunch, cleaning and general organization. Stephanie’s job requires her to be very available, which is not a problem for her as she loves helping her team. Despite all her responsibilities, her main task is to ensure the smooth running of her team.
What she likes about Ginger
Stephanie says she feels good at the Ginger, whether it’s the atmosphere of the place, the great team she works with or all her colleagues at Hotel Plaza Québec, whom she describes as very people-friendly. She is very happy to have made new acquaintances and is proud of the many challenges she has faced during her years of service at the Ginger.
A family affair
Her daughter, Kenza Nejmi, has also been working for JARO Hotels for about 4 years. In the summer, she is part of the Ginger’s music program. In addition to performing at the restaurant, she has also entertained children by impersonating a princess in some of the JARO Hotels. Both Stéphanie and Kenza have a strong sense of belonging to the company.
