Job description
- Oversee beverage, wine, beer and food orders;
- Oversee restaurant and banquet service costs;
- Ensure that standards of quality and excellence are met;
- Assist managers in staffing structure;
- Review complaints and ensure proper follow-up;
- Manage staff time;
- Solicit customers and ensuring their satisfaction is improved;
- Bring new ideas, find solutions to improve performance and quality;
- Supervise the duties of the Maîtres d’hôtel and Restaurant Managers;
- Participate in management meetings;
- Oversee the general inventory of alcoholic beverages;
- Work in synergy with Executive Chefs, Hotel Managers, Restaurant Managers and Banquet Managers;
- Participate in pricing decisions on wine lists and menus;
- Find new customers and innovate to increase customer base and quality.
Education
- Completion of a diploma in hotel management techniques;
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the restaurant industry;
- Basic knowledge of accounting;
- Experience in team management and supervision.
Skills
- Fluency in French;
- Intermediate English preferred
- Computer skills (Master D, Word and Excel);
- Interpersonal skills, leadership;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Knowledge of wines;
