Job Description
- Prepare plates according to established norms and standards
- Provide support to the first cook to ensure the smooth running of operations;
- Gather and cook all the foods needed for meals
- Arrange the dishes on the plates;
- Respond to various requests from the dining room and banquet service;
- Clean counters, oven heating elements, hotplates, warmers for already prepared foods and the steam oven;
- Make soups, basic pastas, appetizers, decorated pieces for cold buffets;
- Prepare sauce bases.
Education
- Obtaining a professional studies diploma in cooking (asset);
- Relevant experience in the kitchen of approximately 1 year;
- Knowledge of MAPAQ rules (asset).
Abilities and necessary skills
- Diplomacy and good judgment
- Be able to work well under pressure
- Sense of initiative and responsibility
