Job description
- Plan and supervise the daily operations of the dining room service;
- Coordinate and supervise the service team (waiters, hosts, clerks);
- To ensure a professional and warm welcome for customers;
- To guarantee quality of service and customer satisfaction;
- Handle complaints and special situations diplomatically;
- Prepare and organize the seating plans and service sections;
- Distribute tasks and supervise teams during services;
- Monitor schedules and staffing needs;
- Participate in the training and integration of new employees;
- Collaborating in the management of inventories and service equipment;
- Control the quality and presentation standards;
- Supporting management in optimizing operations;
- Perform all other related tasks associated with the position.
Education
- Diploma in hotel or restaurant management (an asset);
- Relevant experience of 2 to 3 years in service or supervision in the restaurant industry;
- Good knowledge of restaurant service and standards in the hotel and catering industry;
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems (an asset);
- Experience in team supervision (strong asset).
Skills
- Fluency in French (to communicate with local clientele);
- Intermediate English (to communicate with international clientele);
- Natural leadership and ability to mobilize a team;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong sense of customer service;
