Job description
- Supervise beverage, wine, beer and food orders that are placed;
- Monitor restaurant costs;
- Ensure that standards of quality and excellence are met;
- Assist managers in structuring their staff;
- Review complaints and ensure they are properly followed up;
- Manage staff time (hours worked “cost” restaurant salary;
- Solicit customers and ensure the improvement of their satisfaction;
- Bringing new ideas, finding solutions to always improve performance and quality;
- Supervise the tasks of the various head waiters and restaurant managers;
- Participate in management meetings to improve what is done and find solutions to common problems;
- Supervise the general inventory of alcoholic beverages;
- Work in synergy with executive chefs, hotel managers, restaurant managers;
- Participate in decisions on pricing on wine lists and menus;
- Finding new customers, new ideas, etc., to increase customer base and quality.
Education
- Obtaining a diploma in hotel management techniques;
- Relevant catering experience of a minimum of two years;
- Basic knowledge of accounting;
- Experience in team management and supervision.
Skills
- Fluency in French (to communicate with local clientele)
- Advanced English (to communicate with international clientele)
- Mandatory computer skills (Maître D or Véloce)
- Interpersonal skills, leadership
- The ability to work in a team
- Wine knowledge
- Critical thinking, diplomacy
- Quick-witted
- Working well under pressure
- More than 1 year of experience in personnel and budget management
