Job Description
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, available dates, services, and products offered (via Internet, phone, and fax);
- Answer phone calls for reservations (simple events: meetings, weddings, parties, etc.);
- Meet with clients to understand and address their needs, as well as give venue tours or follow up on events;
- Draft and follow up on contracts until signature;
- Prepare quotes within the deadlines specified by the client (ideally within 24 hours of receiving the request);
- Represent the hotel at various events and activities, such as the Quebec Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Quebec Bridal Show, and other tourism industry-related events;
- Solicit potential new clients weekly and follow up with existing clients;
- Maintain good relationships with clients and ensure follow-up to measure satisfaction and loyalty;
- Transmit information to all relevant departments (event dates, client specific needs, number of people, etc.);
- Provide support to coordination and fill in for the coordinator during time off.
Education
- College diploma in hotel management, tourism, marketing, or equivalent experience;
- Relevant sales experience (1 to 3 years) and customer service experience (1 to 3 years);
- Knowledge of the Maestro computer system (an asset).
