Sales Coordinator

Under the supervision of the general management, the sales coordinator is primarily responsible for meeting customer needs by organizing and planning their event through to contract signing. The person must be proactive, be able to develop and increase our market share and ensure that all necessary actions are taken to achieve sales objectives and build customer loyalty. In addition, he or she must perform all other related tasks related to his or her duties.

Job Description

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, available dates, services, and products offered (via Internet, phone, and fax);
  • Answer phone calls for reservations (simple events: meetings, weddings, parties, etc.);
  • Meet with clients to understand and address their needs, as well as give venue tours or follow up on events;
  • Draft and follow up on contracts until signature;
  • Prepare quotes within the deadlines specified by the client (ideally within 24 hours of receiving the request);
  • Represent the hotel at various events and activities, such as the Quebec Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Quebec Bridal Show, and other tourism industry-related events;
  • Solicit potential new clients weekly and follow up with existing clients;
  • Maintain good relationships with clients and ensure follow-up to measure satisfaction and loyalty;
  • Transmit information to all relevant departments (event dates, client specific needs, number of people, etc.);
  • Provide support to coordination and fill in for the coordinator during time off.

Education 

  • College diploma in hotel management, tourism, marketing, or equivalent experience;
  • Relevant sales experience (1 to 3 years) and customer service experience (1 to 3 years);
  • Knowledge of the Maestro computer system (an asset).
