La Fête de la Musique de Québec (Quebec City’s Music Day)

Present in more than 340 cities in over 100 countries, Music Day has been highlighted in Quebec City since 2008. It is a celebration of love for music. BBQ Fest Rickard’s

For its 8th edition, the BBQ Fest Rickard’s invites you to discover and taste new products from local producers. Hugo Girard, proud spokesperson for 2019, will be there to give cooking demonstrations and meet the public. Access to the site is free and the whole family is welcome. Located near the Grand Marché de Québec, the BBQ Fest Rickard’s festivities are happening during the same weekend as the grand opening of the market. You’ll be able to enjoy the fresh produce of local merchants and producers. All the more reason to go there!

Water Lantern Festival

Mix it up and participate in the first edition of the Water Lantern Festival in Quebec City. Decorate your lantern especially for the occasion and when the time comes, let it float away. You will be able to admire the dimmed lights of hundreds of lanterns reflected on the water. Activities, entertainment and food are available on-site to the delight of the whole family. To ensure a sustainable event with zero impacts to the environment, the festival cleans up all the lanterns following the event.

Quebec Jazz Festival in June

There is a new festival in town much to the delight of jazz lovers. With performances in various establishments throughout Quebec City, the festival is going all out for its first edition by offering you a varied and impressive program. Local emerging talents will be performing in addition to welcoming well-known headliners such as Nanette Workman, the Brad Mehldau Quintet, Sheila Jordan, and many others.
