A memorable New Year’s Day at the Palace Royal Hotel
For the occasion of our Dinner & Show Packages, we had the chance to receive a wonderful message from Mélanie from Victoriaville who stayed at the Palace Royal Hotel for New Year's Day. This is how she and her family described their experience despite the pandemic:
“Several weeks ago, I had reserved a beautiful suite at the Palace with our little family for the January 1st dinner/show. As we aren’t from the Quebec City area, we were worried on several occasions that we would not be able to make it to our one and only long-awaited holiday activity. We monitored the media coverage to make sure that inter-regional travel wasn’t restricted.
Finally came the 1st of January. We had booked a time slot at the swimming pool to the great joy of our kids. Once back to the room, we dressed up for the occasion. It is New Year’s Day after all. At 6:00 P.M. began the tribute show to La Bottine Souriante. We danced and feasted on our balcony. I had tears in my eyes several times to watch all those other families having so much fun. The emotion comes back even as I’m writing this down. We managed, for one evening, to forget those difficult times outdoors. Within the walls of the Palace, everything felt normal. We were also able to enjoy a delicious dinner worthy of a great restaurant. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the impressive performance of Israël Proulx. What an artist! We would like to thank JARO Hotels for allowing us to experience this unique evening.”
