A little historical summary
St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was a missionary and the founder of the country’s early Christianity in the fifth century. Celebrated on March 17, this Christian holiday stems from an old legend. It is said that St. Patrick used a clover to explain the Holy Trinity. The green color and the clover have thus become the symbols of this holiday and the country’s emblems.
