Job description:
- Prepare and cook food according to established menus and standards;
- Complete the necessary mise en place for various events;
- Prepare dishes, sauces, soups and other culinary preparations;
- Ensure the quality, presentation and freshness of food;
- Collaborate with the team during service periods;
- Respond to the kitchen’s needs during events;
- Keep workstations, equipment and kitchen areas clean;
- Comply with food hygiene, sanitation and safety standards.
Skills and qualifications:
- DEP in cooking (an asset) or relevant experience in cooking (approximately 2 years);
- Solid and relevant experience in preparing cold dishes such as salads, appetizers, etc. (specifically for the position at the Plaza).
Abilities:
- Ability to work well under pressure;
- Self-motivated, efficient and well-organized;
- Team player with a strong sense of responsibility;
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
