Bartender

Under the supervision of the Head Waiter or Restaurant Manager, the Bartender is responsible for providing professional, prompt and courteous bar service to guests.

The successful candidate will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, manage the bar area and contribute to overall guest satisfaction while adhering to the establishment’s standards.

Job description

  • Welcome guests at the bar in a courteous and professional manner;
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages;
  • Advise guests on products and cocktails;
  • Set up the bar, including products, glassware and garnishes;
  • Keep the bar clean, organized and compliant with hygiene standards;
  • Verify guests’ legal drinking age when serving alcohol;
  • Manage orders and provide fast and efficient service;
  • Process bills and payments;
  • Restock products and monitor inventory;
  • Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth service;
  • Comply with health, safety and sanitation standards;
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Competences and qualifications

  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in bartending or food service;
  • Training in mixology or bartending is a strong asset;
  • Knowledge of beverages, wines and spirits is an asset.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism;
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Team player;
  • Strong sense of responsibility;
