Job description
Operations Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar, and banquets;
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience at all times;
- Oversee the execution of events, receptions, conferences, and banquets to ensure their success;
- Ensure compliance with quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness standards;
Handle complaints and implement necessary corrective actions.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate food and beverage staff;
- Supervise managers, maîtres d’hôtel, servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, and support staff;
- Plan schedules and ensure efficient labor management;
Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment.
Financial and Administrative Management
- Develop and monitor departmental budgets;
- Control labor, food, and beverage costs;
- Analyze performance indicators and implement improvement strategies;
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and purchasing;
Participate in developing sales strategies and implementing promotions.
Collaboration and Development
- Collaborate closely with the sales, kitchen, lodging, and operations departments;
- Participate in the planning and continuous improvement of food and beverage services;
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards, as well as company policies;
- Perform any other related duties.
Education
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food service management role;
- Experience in banquet, event, or hotel food service management (a significant asset).
