We are looking for a versatile candidate to fill a hybrid role combining the functions of Maître d'hôtel and Banquet Supervisor.
- Maître d'hôtel role: approximately 20 hours per week;
- Banquet Supervisor role: approximately 20 hours per week, based on operational needs and schedule of events;
- Schedule flexibility: when no banquets are scheduled, the full 40 hours are worked as a Maitre D'.
Job description
Maitre d'Hôtel – Les Palmes Restaurant
- Supervise table service and coordinate the front-of-house team's daily workload;
- Greet guests warmly and ensure a high-quality dining experience;
- Enforce compliance with established service standards;
- Handle special guest situations and resolve customer concerns with professionalism;
- Oversee dining room setup and ensure smooth service flow throughout the shift.
Banquet Supervisor
- Supervise the service team during events and functions;
- Coordinate room setup, breakdown, and overall service execution;
- Assign tasks and provide guidance and coaching to the staff;
- Ensure service quality and strict adherence to hotel standards;
- Collaborate closely with all event stakeholders, vendors, and departments.
Education
- Relevant experience in restaurant service or banquets;
- Supervisory experience is a strong asset;
- Strong leadership skills and an excellent customer service orientation;
- Autonomy, strong organizational skills, and sound judgment;
- Ability to prioritize effectively and perform well under pressure;
- Flexible availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
