POSITION SUMMARY

The Jaro Hotels Lodging Department works closely with our customers. The Front Desk Assistant Manageris responsible for the complete coordination of all activities while ensuring impeccable service from his/her team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support the Front Desk Manager in the management of the department and ensure the smooth running of operations at all times;
  • Ensure guest satisfaction during and after the service and handle complaints, if any;
  • Ensure constant communication and follow up on any issues, requests or requirements from guests and employees;
  • Conduct staff training and performance evaluations;
  • Review and monitor staff schedules;
  • Develop relationships with regular clients and groups;
  • Observe recurring issues and suggest areas for improvement;
  • Coordination of Tours and Travel room blocks in conjunction with the Front Desk Manager;
  • Assisting in the management of feedback responses on social media platforms via our CRM;
  • Provide courteous, professional, genuine service. Be proactive and customer oriented;
  • Apply and enforce policies and procedures related to hospitality and the company as a whole;
  • Be the nerve center: respond to customer requests, relay to appropriate colleagues to respond quickly to each request;
  • All other related tasks deemed necessary by management.

EDUCATION

  • Degree in hotel management and/or relevant experience;
  • Relevant experience with hotel management software (Maestro, Hotello, among others) or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a front desk environment.
  • Experience in staff supervision.

  • Ability to communicate in French and in English, both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs;

  • Ability to deal with stress in a positive and effective manner;
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment;
  • Good interpersonal skills to meet the expectations of a high-end clientele;
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself with integrity at all times;
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment;
  • Demonstrate creativity and initiative;
  • Autonomy and initiative;
  • Strong personnel management skills;
  • Flexibility in terms of work schedules (day/evening/weekends).
